Shloka Online is my humble attempt to expose our kids to Sanskrit shlokas. This I believe paves way to introduce the kids to Hindu culture. I am including only those shlokas that are easy for the kids to recite and comprehend with rudimentary exposure to Sanskrit. Shloka: Apte's Sanskrit-English dictionary defines shloka as a stanza or verse in general. Shlokas are usually part of stotras which are prayers to the deities. I have included the shlokas
in Devanagari script, the same in Roman script and
meaning (loosely translated) in English. The content of
this site emphasises on Maadhva tradition (in which I was brought up).
Shloka Online! features a Kids Games and a growing page of Shlokas. |
