Chana Dal Chutney(red chutney)
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp of Chana Dal
- 1 tbsp of urad dal
- 3-4 red chillies
- 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds(menthya)
- 1/2 tsp of cumins(jeera)
- slightly less than 1/2 tsp of Dhania
- 1 tsp of putani(dalia split)
- 1/2 cup of fresh grated coconut
Preparation:
Roast all the above ingredients, except putani. Roast lightly the fresh grated coconut. Roast curry leaves also. grind all the ingredients together with 1/4 cup of cilantro leaves. Add water to grind. Serve with dosa, idli.
