Kesari Bhaath
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cooked basmati rice; Roast the dry rice in a tbsp of ghee)
- 2 cups of sugar
- 2 cups of water
- 1 and 1/2 tsp of saffron threads
- 2 to 3 ground cloves
- 1 and 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp of cashews
- 2 tbsp of raisins
Preparation:
Roast cashews and raisins in a tsp of ghee and keep it aside.
Make a sugar syrup by adding 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water. Make it to a one thread consistency. To this syrup add ground cloves , saffron, and cardamom. Mix the cooked rice in this syrup. Then add the roasted cashews and raisins.
