1.Plain Uppit: 1.Roast the cream of wheat(Rava) in a pan with 1 tbsp of ghee. roast until you get a nutty flavor. Remove it from the heat and transfer the rava to a plate.
2.In the same pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil/ghee. Add mustard seeds and allow them to pop. then add hing, urad dal, Red chillies, and ginger.
3.Once the ginger gets soft add 3 and 1/2 cups of water, salt, and roasted rava and allow it to cook. Finally put 1 tbsp of lime juice. Serve with coconut chatni or Chatni pudi
The step 1. is similar as in the above method.
The step2. is slightly different. In this you cook the vegetables in the vaggarini. Once they get cooked add 3 cups of water and add rava. Follow step 3 similarly. Serve with chatni powder.
