- Cooked toor dal - 2 cups
- Green chillies - 2 to 3
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- jeera powder - 1 tsp
- Tamarind wate(thick) - 2 tbsp
- salt ot taste
- Sauteed leafy vegetables(like spinach, rajgiripalya(dantina soppu or Amaranthus), methi).
Saute the leaf. Add tamarind water once the vegetable is well cooked. Allow it to boil. Then add cooked toor dal(take only dal and not the water)and add ground green chillies, dhania powder, and jeera powder and also salt. Let it boil for 8 to 10 minutes. If you feel it is watery add a tbsp of besan and mix it well. Serve hot with chapatis and rice.
One can add sambar masala powder or plain chilli powder. Or can add a (grounded)green chillies+1 tbsp of dhania+ 2 tsps of jeera powder.
