Moong Dal Paayasa(Hesara Bele Paayasa)
- 2 cups of pressure cooked moong dal; Roast the dry dal in a ghee and then cook it.
- 1 and 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of saffron threads
- 1 and 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp of cashews
- 2 tbsp of raisins
- 2 to 3 cloves
- 1/2 cup of whole milk/2% milk
Roast cashews and raisins in a tsp of ghee and keep it aside. To the cooked dal, add sugar and milk and keep it on a medium set flame and allow it to boil. Add 2 to 3 cloves. Then add roasted cashews, raisins, ground cardamom, and saffron threads. Allow it to boil and serve hot.
