Heat the oil in a cooking pan. Add mustard seeds and allow them to pop. Then put turmeric(1/2 tsp), and a pinch of hing. Drop the grated moolangi into the pan. Add the soaked dal, curry leaves, and green chillies. Cover it and allow it to cook.
My aunt substitutes zucchini(cut into small cubes) for moolangi and it turns out pretty tasty.
